The Answer to my Circular Argument

I find when one truly seeks answers and direction, he will find the right path to take. Truth is not hidden from a true seeker.

As a follower of Jesus Christ, I am to turn first to Him in prayer and to His Word. It's funny because I asked for answers and boy did I get them! I have my family praying for me and I have been praying that He would guide me in what to do with my finances. Today I heard a Christian radio talk show on giving to God in rough financial times, then later I spoke with my sister-in-law and she told me their financial story. At the close of our coversation she pointed out a Bible passage that I had so aptly overlooked.

Malachi chapter 3, verses 6-12:

"I the LORD do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty. "But you ask, 'How are we to return?'
"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?'

"In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty.

All I have to say is I have my answer, God has spoken. Amen. I know what He wants me to do, will I be obedient or will I make excuses?
